275 community members came together to "parade their passion" for Cedar Valley Hospice at their annual fundraiser on Friday, April 13, grossing over $50,000 for the non-profit organization.

This year's theme was Rio Nights, with entertainment provided by the Brazilian 2wins.  The event included appetizers, a cash bar, 117 silent auction items, dinner and a special program, emceed by KWWL's Abby Turpin.

The program was dedicated to the life of Chris J. Toneff.  Toneff was cared for by Cedar Valley Hospice at their hospice home as he battled a brain tumor.  Toneff, a farmer from Dunkerton, impacted many lives and, following his death in 2013, his friends and family continue a Tractorcade in his memory.  The first one had been in 2013 when they traveled to Waterloo to pass the hospice home where Toneff was staying.  Toneff's wife, Jennifer, spoke at Rio Nights.  The impact Cedar Valley Hospice has had on Toneff, his wife and their two girls brought out strong emotions from those who attended.  Learn more about the Toneff Memorial Tractorcade here.

Cedar Valley Hospice is a non-profit organization that has been serving people and their families with respect and compassion since 1979.  Learn more here.
