Tonight is quiet with increasing clouds and temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s. A light wintry mix is possible between 5 and 8 AM Wednesday then changing to all snow by 9 or 10 AM. Snow continues to fall through the day making roads slick. A few storms are possible increasing the snowfall rate at that time. Wind gusts are near 25 mph blowing snow in the open country. The snow tapers off between 4-7 PM. Snow totals are 4-6” across northern Iowa and at trace to 1” across southern Iowa.

The clouds clear late Wednesday night as the winds diminish. Thursday and Friday are mostly sunny with highs in the 40s to around 50. The weekend is dry with a more clouds Saturday than Sunday as highs warm into the 50s. Low 60s return early next week.
