UPDATE: Clinton County Sheriffs tell us the two boys involved in a recent AMBER Alert are okay.

Police out of Moline, Illinois were able to locate them with the non-custodial parent at an apartment complex. They were taken to the police station and then reunited with their mother.

Sheriffs tell us the boys' father and mother were grocery shopping in Toronto, Iowa when they were dispatched to a complaint of a non-custodial child abduction.

The mother says when the four returned to her home, the dad apparently drove off with the two boys still in the car.

She allegedly indicated that he recently had his parental rights terminated and that he had just made statements about harming everyone.

Based on this information, the AMBER Alert system was put into effect.

The case remains under investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and the Clinton County Attorney’s Office.

UPDATE: The AMBER Alert has been canceled. The children have been located and thus the AMBER Alert is no longer in effect.
