Shooting victim identified in Cedar Rapids

32-year old Isaac Chatman has been identified as the victim of Thursday's shooting at 2125 Westdale Drive, S.W. in Cedar Rapids 

Cedar Rapids Police did not release a report on Chatman's condition. 

Officers responded to 2125 Westdale Dr. SW at approximately 10:47 p.m. on March 15 after receiving numerous reports of shots being fired. Officers located Chatman with multiple gunshot wounds inside an apartment at the Westdale Dr. location. The victim was transported to a local hospital and later to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with life threatening injuries.

Kent T. Stevens, Jr, 28 of 2106 Westdale Dr. SW #4, Cedar Rapids, has been identified as the suspect and charged with attempted murder, willful injury-causing serious injury, going armed with intent, intimidation with a weapon, carrying weapons, possession of firearm as a felon and possession of a controlled substance – marijuana.
