Severe weather spotter training coming to Black Hawk County

The Black Hawk County Emergency Management Agency and National Weather Service is offering a free severe weather spotter training. 

The training is scheduled during Severe Weather Awareness week in Iowa. 

A session will take place on Monday, March 26, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Hawkeye Community College, Tama Hall Auditorium. 

Doors are set to open at 6:00 p.m.

The training is open to the public and all agencies that respond to emergencies. Participates will be instructed on how and what to report along with personal safety.
