Bond votes pass in Dike, Guttenberg

Two eastern Iowa communities give the green light to multi-million dollar projects through successful bond votes on Tuesday night.

Voters in Dike have approved a $1.5 million bond in support of a new fire station for the Grundy County community, with 253 "Yes" votes over just five voting "No" tonight.

In Guttenberg, a new new municipal aquatic center will be built after a $2.8 million bond was passed by voters there tonight. The Clayton County Auditor says the measure was supported by 271 "Yes" votes to 73 "No" votes.
