DES MOINES, Iowa —A former Dallas Center pastor was sentenced to three years’ probation after pleading guilty to child endangerment and two years’ probation for indecent exposure, according to court documents.

Fifty-three-year-old Randy Johnson had been charged with five counts of third-degree sexual abuse, three counts of indecent contact with a child, two counts of indecent exposure, two counts of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and one count of child endangerment.

But in a Jan. 12 plea bargain, Johnson entered an Alford plea of guilty to one count of child endangerment causing bodily injury and one count of indecent exposure.

According to online court documents, prosecutors said Johnson abused a child younger than 13 from 2013-2014.
