Posted: Updated:

An eastern Iowa man is recovering from injuries after a two-vehicle crash Saturday.

According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, authorities were called to the 3400 block of Walker Road at 4 p.m. for the crash.

Deputies say it looks like the driver of a Honda Pilot hit a manure spreader.

Preston Waterbury, 22, of Center Point was traveling west in the Honda when he hit the manure spreader.

Authorities confirm the spreader was being towed by a truck at the time.

They say the tow truck was stopped in the road.

Roger Kalsem, 82, of Waterloo was driving the tow truck, but he was not in the vehicle when the crash happened.

Mr. Waterbury was taken to the St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids, and he should be all right.

Mr. Kalsem was not hurt, and there were no passengers in either vehicles.

Mr. Kalsem was cited for 'stopping on a paved part of the highway.'
