CRESCO (KWWL) -

UPDATE: A man is in custody and is facing murder charges after a stand-off situation with police, and his wife is found dead.
Officers responded to a home in the 700 block of South Elm Street in Cresco on Thursday morning.
Police say Brian Fullhart, 34, was inside the home and wasn't cooperating with officers, even threatening to shoot at them.
Fullhart was eventually arrested at 6:45 that morning; when police got inside the home, they found the body of Fullhart's wife, Zoanne, 34.
Fullhart is in custody a the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department; he's charged with Murder and Going Armed with Intent.
Both Fullharts were arrested back in January, accused of breaking into the Echo Valley Event Center in West Union.

PREVIOUS: We're learning about a death investigation in the town of Cresco.
Cresco Police were called to the area of 700 S. Elm Street on a shots fired call.
Officers found a person barricaded in a home. Police and Iowa State Patrol negotiated with him for several hours and were able to take him into custody.
They then located a dead person inside the home. The investigation is ongoing. No names are being released at this time. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation also assisted.
We are unsure if this is at all related to the Howard-Winneshiek Community School District canceling classes today. Read more on that story here.
