UPDATE: Suspect charged in West Branch Community Schools threat

UPDATE: The West Branch Police Department has charged a minor with Disorderly Conduct for a threat made to West Branch Schools earlier this week. 

The Department says there is no indication the threat was going to be carried out. 

Since the suspect is a minor the charged was forwarded to juvenile court.

UPDATE: The West Branch Police Department tells us a suspect has been identified after a threatening message was found in one of West Branch Community School's buildings yesterday. They have not given us details as to who the suspect could be.

Authorities say it doesn't appear that the threat was going to be carried out. 

 The West Branch Police Department is working in conjunction with the West Branch Community School District on this investigation.

UPDATE: A note sent to parents of West Branch students says school is being called off due to a threatening message that was found inside a school building.

The threat was directed towards students and staff, according to district officials. While the note says the threat has not been substantiated, Wednesday classes and activities are being canceled out of an abundance of caution. Police are also involved, according to the officials.
