CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

February is Black History Month and the African American Museum of Iowa in Cedar Rapids is a great place to learn about Iowa's black history.

The permanent exhibit at the museum is called "Endless Possibilities."

Visitors can walk through the exhibit which includes displays of slavery and segregation.

Displays also include Iowa's underground railroad and civil rights including a life-sized cafe area to show where sit-ins would have taken place.

There are interactive aspects to the displays as well.

There is also Obama memorabilia from when the President campaigned in Iowa, including the podium he traveled with and spoke at.

The African American Museum of Iowa is open for self-guided tours Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Appointments can be made for guided tours.
