Chicago Bears player pleads guilty after Cedar Falls bar fight

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

An NFL player pleads guilty after a bar fight in Cedar Falls last year.

Court records say Chicago Bears player Deiondre' Hall submitted a written plea to disorderly conduct and public intoxication charges. Hall was also charged with interference, but that was dismissed as part of the plea.

Officers were called to a disturbance back in March outside Sharky's in Cedar Falls. Police say an officer used a taser on Hall's legs to get him into a squad car.

Hall was granted a deferred judgment for the charges. Under Iowa Law, that allows a judge to withhold finding a defendant guilty and instead place them on probation for a period of time.

Makinton Dorleant was also arrested charged with interference. He later pleaded guilty and was also granted a deferred judgment. Both Hall and Dorleant played college football at UNI.

Dorleant played for the Green Bay Packers at the time. He was later released by the Packers after failing a physical.

Two UNI football players were also arrested.
