DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

About 50 people gathered in the Town Clock Square Sunday to rally against gun violence.

The event was organized by the group, Indivisible Dubuque.

They called it #Not1More, and organizers said its purpose was to "mourn the victims, support the survivors, and act to prevent future violence," according to the Facebook event.

Speakers included Dubuque Community School District Superintendent Stan Rheingans and Lt. Joe Messerich from the Dubuque Police, who both offered their perspectives on school violence.

State Senator Pam Jochum also spoke to the crowd.
