CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

Northern Iowa kept it close, but could never get over the hump as the Panthers fell to MVC leader Drake 72-67. The victory ran the Bulldogs' conference winning streak to 36 straight games.

Megan Maahs put up big numbers for UNI scoring 16 while grabbing 16 boards. Rose Simon-Ressler, who prepped with Maahs at Western Dubuque, added 16 more with 10 boards for her second career double-double.

Drake's Sammie Bachrodt scores a game-high 20 in the Bulldogs' win.

UNI's Tanya Warren chased a milestone on Friday going after her 200th career win. Her next chance of reaching the mark comes in one week when the Panthers host Illinois State.
