CLAYTON COUNTY (KWWL) -

An eastern Iowa police officer was arrested on drug charges Friday after sheriff's authorities responded to a domestic disturbance call.

39-year-old Rodger Sear III, an officer for the MarMac Unified Police Department, is facing a felony charge of manufacturing marijuana, along with other charges related to drug possession.

The Clayton County Sheriff's Office says 23-year-old Kaitlin Sear assaulted Sear III around 9:52 a.m. this morning at a residence in Garber. She is also facing a felony charge of manufacturing marijuana, on top of three other charges.

Officers say they located marijuana and items used to grow the drug while responding to the call in the 37000 block of Iowa Avenue this morning.
