UPDATE: Body found in wildlife area identified as missing Waterloo man

UPDATE: The body found near Turkey Ridge Wildlife Area has been identified as a missing Waterloo man.

Black Hawk County Sheriff Deputies confirm the body belongs to 23-year-old Denis Maric, who was last seen on Sunday, February 11th, 2018.

No foul play is suspected.

Black Hawk County Sheriffs tell us a body of a missing person was found near Turkey Ridge Wildlife Area.

Authorities were called to the area for a suspicious vehicle parked at the entrance. They positively identified that as the missing person's car.

The body was taken to Covenant Hospital to await for positive identification. There is no indication of foul play.

What we do know, is that Waterloo Police posted on Facebook this morning, asking for help looking for a missing person. 

In the post, it says 23-year-old Denis Maric was last seen on Sunday, February 11th, 2018.

The post says Maric is a white male 5'8" 170 pounds with blonde hair and green eyes. He also has a tattoo of a rose on his neck.

Family members say Maric has been depressed and possibly suicidal.
