Police: Anamosa High School students relocated after bomb threat written on bathroom wall

Posted: Updated:
ANAMOSA (KWWL) -
Students at Anamosa High School were relocated today due to a "security concern".
Police say, writing on a bathroom wall was found earlier in the day, which said there was a bomb in the building. The school's policy is to immediately evacuate students in an emergency situation. Half of the students were taken to a local middle school, the other half were taken to a nearby facility.
Bomb-sniffing dogs from Marion Police were there this morning, checking out the school. However, no evidence of an explosive device was located as a result of the search. Authorities believe this to be an isolated incident with no further danger to students or staff.
