Former Black Hawk Boeser cashes in on All-Star MVP honor

Brock Boeser dazzled again on Sunday. The former Waterloo Black Hawk tallied a pair of goals and an assist to earn All-Star game MVP honors and lead the Pacific Division to a title.

Boeser, in his rookie season with the Canucks, earned a $212,500 bonus just for making the All-Star team. He earned another $100,000 for being on the winning team on top of $25,000 for winning the accuracy contest in Saturday's skills competition. For winning the MVP honor he won a car.

Boeser, who scored 35 goals as a member of the Waterloo Black Hawks in the 2014-15 season was the 23rd overall pick in the 2015 NHL draft. He currently leads all NHL rookies with 24 goals.
