Waterloo native Cal Petersen earns AHL All-Star Goaltender honor

Former Waterloo Black Hawk Cal Petersen earned a share of the AHL skills competition top goaltender award. The skills competition is competed as a part of the AHL's all-star weekend.

Petersen shared the honor with Jordan Binington of Providence. Both net minders stopped 16 of 18 shots in the competition.

Petersen is 11-9 in his first season with the Ontario Reign, the affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings. The Waterloo native is 11-9 in net with 2 shutouts.
