Friday morning fire at John Deere Engine Works in Waterloo

UPDATE: Waterloo Firefighters say the fire is now out and under control.

They say the fire started shortly before 6 this morning. 

Firefighters say the fire started near the roof, and it was contained to that area. The fire started in the framework around a vertical stack. Firefighters say this vertical stack was near the roof, and it was coming out of a boiler.  

No one was injured in the fire. Employees were evacuated from the building.  

Firefighters are no longer there, and they say operations returned back to normal about an hour after they arrived.

Smoke is visible at John Deere Engine Works in Waterloo.
