Skating helps Cedar Valley boy overcome challenges

Posted: Updated:

Celebrating the holidays on ice. That's what is happening this weekend in the Cedar Valley.

The Cedar Valley Figure Skating Club has their show, "Elf on the Ice" this weekend.

One of the skaters in the club is Josh Kreger.

The 12-year-old struggles with Central Auditory Processing Disorder. He loves hockey and the Waterloo Black Hawks.

But sometimes the noise, the lights, and all the fast movement during the game can be overwhelming for him. Because of this, he has not been able to play hockey.

That has not stopped him from finding a way to get on the ice.

He joined the Cedar Valley Figure Skating Club, and he says he has loved it!

The show "Elf on the Ice" is this Sunday at 3 in the afternoon. Tickets are 10 dollars for adults and 5 dollars for kids.

Tickets are available through the Cedar Valley Figure Skaters or in the Young Arena Business Office. You can buy tickets online at www.cvfsc.net.
