DES MOINES (KWWL) -

Governor Kim Reynolds has ordered all flags in Iowa to fly at half-staff in remembrance of the victims of Sunday's mass shooting in Texas.

The shooting happened inside a small church, killing at least 26 people and wounding several others. Governor Reynolds' order comes after President Donald Trump issued a proclamation for the entire country for flags to fly at half-staff yesterday.

The Iowa order pertains to all public buildings, grounds and facilities throughout the state. Individuals flying their own flags are also encouraged to follow the order.

Flags will fly at half-staff until sunset on Thursday evening under the order.
