IN CLASS THREE-A TOP RANKED AND UNBEATEN SOLON PLAYS HOST TO WEST DELAWARE..

 

SOLON GETS THINGS ROLLING EARLY IN THE FIRST QUARTER. IT'S 3RD AND 8 FROM THEIR OWN 42, QUARTERBACK CAM MILLER THROWS A GREAT PASS TO WIDE RECEIVER A J COONS IN STRIDE, AS HE BREAKS A TACKLE AND HE'S GONE! A 58 YARD TOUCHDOWN STRIKE TO PUT THE SPARTANS UP 7-0 WITH THE EXTRA POINT GOOD.

 

SOLON STRIKES AGAIN IN THE SECOND QUARTER. WILDCAT FORMATION, 2ND AND GOAL FROM THE 6. RUNNINGBACK COAL FLANSBURG TAKES THE SNAP AND FOLLOWS A CONVOY OF BLOCKERS AROUND THE RIGHT SIDE AS HE GOES IN UNTOUCHED FOR THE EASY TOUCHDOWN TO MAKE IT 14-0 SPARTANS.

 

LATER ON IN THE SECOND QUARTER, RUNNINGBACK KENDRICK HARRIS GETS THE HANDOFF, SWEEPS TO THE RIGHT SIDE, CUTS IT BACK, AND HE'S OFF TO THE RACES AS NO ONE IS GOING TO CATCH HIM ON HIS WAY TO A 48 YARD TOUCHDOWN RUN TO PUT THE SPARTANS UP 21-0.

 

STILL IN THE SECOND QUARTER, WILDCAT FORMATION AGAIN ON A 2ND AND GOAL FROM THE 3 FOR SOLON. COAL FLANSBURG TAKES THE SNAP, SWEEPS TO THE RIGHT AGAIN, AND DIVES INTO THE ENDZONE TO PUT THE SPARTANS UP 28-0.

 

SOLON GOES ON TO WIN BIG 54-14 AND ADVANCE TO THE SEMI-FINALS IN THE DOME NEXT WEEK.
