Halloween meets wild west in fun Dubuque display

DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

Head to Muscatine Ave. in Dubuque, and you'll find a Halloween display Billy the Kid or Butch Cassidy might be proud of.

Jenn Leonhart and her fiance Carl Meyers are in their third year of decorating for Halloween.

This year's theme is wild west, with a skeleton in jail, the skeleton sheriff snoozing on the porch, and two skeletons facing off in a classic wild west shootout.

There are also two skeletons sitting by the fire, and one has a snake in it's boot.  Leonhart says that was a nod to her and her love of the movie Toy Story.

In past years, Meyers has done a pirate ship theme and a skeleton/pumpkin war theme.

Leonhart says he starts at the beginning of October, and it takes him most of a weekend to make sure none of the decorations go anywhere.
