AMES (KWWL) -

Iowa State linebacker Marcel Spears earned the Big 12's Defensive Player of the Week honor for the second week in a row.

The sophomore played a major role in Iowa State's win over fourth ranked TCU. His late fourth quarter interception sealed the Cyclones' victory. He also recorded a back-breaking pick six in the fourth quarter during Iowa State's win at Texas Tech in the previous week.
