The Waterloo Community Foundation has announced it's seeking investors for their Founders Club, which allows donors to be recognized forever for their gift to the community.  Over 80 individual and corporate donors are Founders, and the foundation is looking to expand their Founders Club with those who help build and support the city of Waterloo.

“We are committed to building relationships with community members who share our vision of a stronger, more viable Waterloo,” said Board Chair Tim Hurley. “These positive and encouraging conversations resulted in our founder’s campaign that assures future generations the same, if not more, opportunities to enjoy Waterloo.”

The Waterloo Community Foundation is growing by the year.  In 2016, they received 53 grant applications from non-profit organizations who serve the needs of Waterloo residents.  They were able to award five of those organizations grant funding.  Their 2017 grant process is currently underway.

According to the foundation, gifts (either cash or 3-year pledges) are tiered, with each tier representing one of the three major rivers or streams in Waterloo: Black Hawk Creek: $500 to $999; Virden Creek: $1,000 to $4,999; and Cedar River: $5,000+.

To learn more and become a member of the Founders Club, visit the foundation's website.  This one-time opportunity expires on December 31, 2017.
