UPDATE: Quaker Oats employee gets arm caught in machinery

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

UPDATE: A Quaker Oats-Pepsico employee was sent to the hospital after his arm was caught in a product lift. According to the Cedar Rapids Fire Department, when emergency crews arrived the employee was conscious and alert. They say the employee is a man in his 20s. He was taken to St. Luke's Hospital.

UPDATE: A spokeswoman with Cedar Rapids says person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Emergency crews have now left the scene of Quaker Oats.

We have a crew on scene of Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids.

Police are telling us they responded to a medical call. There are reports an employee possibly got caught in machinery.

There is a heavy emergency crew presence at the plant.
