Apple orchard shooting victim returns home, gets special visit

Posted: Updated:

The 8-year-old boy, who was hit by a stray bullet at an apple orchard this month, had a special visit when he returned home to Cedar Falls this week.

Tommy Hawk from the Waterloo Black Hawks visited Kaden Noble and his family. The Waterloo Black Hawks posted a picture of the meeting on the team's Facebook page this afternoon. The post said:

"Tommy Hawk stops by to see Kaden Noble and his family after the family returns home from Iowa City. Hope to see a speedy recovery and see you in Party Town, Kaden! #WBHFFamily #MagicalMoments"

Kaden, who was shot by a stray bullet just over two weeks ago, was receiving care at the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. The owners of the Apples on the Avenue Orchard have started a GoFundMe to help Kaden and his family with their mounting medical expenses.
