UPDATE: A boil advisory in Dubuque has been lifted.

The City of Dubuque says water test results came back this morning, and confirmed that there was no contamination of the water system in the affected area.

It is no longer necessary for water customers in the affected area to boil water before drinking or using it.

Parts of Dubuque are under a boil advisory after a water main break on Hill St.

The main break was discovered late last night on Hill St., at Burch near W. 5th.

A precautionary boil advisory is being issued for around 1,000 people in the area.

It's impacting the area by Loras Blvd. on the north, North Grandview Ave. on the west, Langworthy St. on the south, and Wilson Ave. on the east.
