DUBUQUE (KWWL) -

The Dubuque County Conservation Board along with the Dubuque County Sheriff are looking for the person or people responsible for causing $5,000 in damage to a Heritage Trail Bridge over the weekend.

According to a Facebook post from the Sheriff's office, a vehicle struck a bridge near Fishpond Road.

They say vehicle parts left at the scene lead them to believe it was a 2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado, and the vehicle will have damage to the passenger side headlight and hood area.

They also located part of the headlight and bug shield, along with a custom tire rim.

According to the sheriff, tire impressions show it might be a Mastercraft Courser MXT style tire.

If you have any information about the car of the driver, call the Dubuque County Conservation Board at 563-556-6745 or the Dubuque County Sheriff's Office at 563-589-4415.
