Kitten left abandoned in Waterloo dumpster now ready for adoption

Posted: Updated:
WATERLOO (KWWL) -

It was a very unlucky weekend for one Waterloo kitten.

She was found abandoned in a commercial dumpster during Irish Fest weekend.

An animal control officer got her out of the dumpster, and she was given the name Trinity.

A cat bed was also found in the dumpster with the kitten.

Last Hope Animal Rescue in Cedar Rapids took the cat in. Little Trinity had ringworm on her neck, fleas, ear mites and she was also very thin.

Last Hope treated Trinity, and she is now healed and ready for adoption.

The little kitten is long haired, 14 weeks old, and three pounds.

She has been fully vetted, spayed, and microchipped.
