WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Honoring a young nurse's legacy...

One eastern Iowa hospital is hoping to add onto their building.

It's all to honor one of their own, who's life was taken too soon.

Samantha Weber was a hospice nurse at Allen Hospital.

She was sadly killed in a car accident last year.

Samantha was just 26 when she died.

Her coworkers and friends describe her as a "beautiful, full of life person with a big smile."

Now, Allen hospital hopes to honor the young nurse.

They want to build another hospice suite, similar to the one they already have.

They would call it, "Samantha Weber Memorial Hospice Suite."

The hospital says the suite would create a comfortable environment for hospice patients, one that Samantha would be proud of.

Tonight the hospital is trying to raise money for the suite.

For the first time ever, they're hosting a "Hops for Hospice" event at Allen College.

It will have more than 20 crafts beers, food, and entertainment by the Brazilian 2wins.

Hops for Hospice is from 5:30 to 7:30 tonight. It will be at Winter Hall at Allen College. Tickets are 50 dollars each and can be purchased through the Allen Foundation. You can call (319) 235-3960 to get a ticket.

If you're interested in attending, you can also  click here.

You can also click here if you would like to donate, but can't attend. Click on the Make a Gift button.

One hundred percent of the money raised tonight will go to the new hospice suite.
