GRANT COUNTY, Wis. (KWWL) -

The Grant County Sheriff's Office says a Boscobel man sustained potentially serious injuries and had to be airlifted after his motorcycle collided with a deer Wednesday evening.

According to a press release, 56-year-old Tracy Wagner was driving east on Homer Road with Kathleen Wagner on the back when two deer entered the road.

Wagner wasn't able to avoid them, hitting one and getting thrown from the motorcycle.

Neither were wearing helmets.

Wagner was taken to the Gundersen Boscobel Area Hospital and was later airlifted.
