Iowa Wine Trail goes Hollywood, movie-inspired food and wine event

Posted: Updated:

The Iowa Wine Trail, a non-profit educational organization representing 11 eastern Iowa wineries, is announcing the first “Hollywood & Vines” wine and food pairing weekend on November 4-5.

Each one of the eleven wineries has selected a film as their inspiration for a wonderful wine-food pairing:

Brick Arch Winery (West Branch) – Ratatouille

Daly Creek Winery & Bistro (Anamosa) – Lady and the Tramp

Eagles Landing Winery (Marquette) – The Godfather

Empty Nest Winery (Waukon) – Fast and Furious

Engelbrecht Family Winery (Fredericksburg) – Julia and Julie

Park Farm Winery (Bankston) – Forrest Gump

PromiseLand Winery (Guttenberg) – Groundhog Day

Tabor Home Vineyard & Winery (Baldwin) – West Side Story

TYCOGA Vineyard & Winery (DeWitt) – Titanic

Wide River Winery (Clinton) – The Great Gatsby

Winneshiek Wildberry Winery (Decorah) - Moulin Rouge

At each winery stop, wine lovers will be able to enjoy specially prepared (and Hollywood film inspired) foods paired with award winning, locally crafted wines.

Visitors are encouraged to dress up as one of their favorite characters (from the above listed movies) for a chance to win free tickets to the Spring 2018 event.

“We’re thrilled to offer this new event to wine and food lovers across the region,” said Christie Steffen, Iowa Wine Trail President, “and with this fun new event paired with excellent food and world-class wines visitors are sure to have a great time.”

Tickets are on sale now at any of the 11 Iowa Wine Trail member wineries; can be purchased via our online portal: http://iowawinetrail.com/purchaseTickets.html; or by calling 563-557-3727.

Discount ticket specials are available through October 23 and Free Designated Driver tickets are available upon request.
