Multiple vehicles stolen in Solon

Posted: Updated:

An investigation is underway after three vehicles and a trailer were stolen from Solon in a matter of days.

A Johnson County detective tells KWWL there have been other instances in other counties as well.

Johnson County Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek says the investigation spans several different law enforcement agencies.

Lee Connell, Owner of Lee's AG Clinic had his pickup truck and trailer taken.

"Took out of town Wednesday night and it was gone Thursday morning," he says.

The truck and trailer were found in different counties thanks to law enforcement.

"They did a real good job because I got it back, not exactly the way I would liked to have seen it but you know," Connell told us.

That's because his white pickup had been spray painted black along with it's brand new rims.

Another victim took to Facebook to announce her vehicle was stolen Saturday night.

A separate woman commented on the post and said her truck was stolen over the weekend  as well.

So far Connell is the only one who has had his items found.

In each incident keys were left inside of the vehicles, it's something Connell told us he has done for 30 years and has never had a problem but it's something he won't be doing anymore and he suggest others follow suit.

"The main thing is not to leave your keys in your vehicle and lock your doors because they are just a bad bunch of people," he says.

Investigators ask anyone with information come forward, so far no arrest have been made.
