Iowa State dean could be next school president

A familiar face at Iowa State University could be their next president.

Wendy Wintersteen is the dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State. She'll meet with faculty, staff, students, and community members on Thursday.

Another finalist is Dale Whittaker. He's the provost and executive vice president at the University of Central Florida, Orlando. He'll visit Iowa State's campus on Wednesday, and participate in a public forum from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the Sun Room of the Memorial Union.

Pamela Whitten visited Iowa State on Tuesday. Whitten is one of the four finalists, and the provost at the University of Georgia.

Sonny Ramaswamy was in Ames on Monday. Ramaswamy is the Administrator of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture in Washington, DC.

After all 4 finalists come to campus, the Iowa Board of Regents will meet on October 23rd to choose the next president.
