Riley's Cafe reopens more than a year after fire

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -

A popular Cedar Rapids cafe has reopened more than a year after it caught fire. 

Riley's Cafe on 1st Avenue has been working to open it's doors since last September. 

In the meantime the menu has been available at Daisy's Garage down the street. 

The restaurant has had it's 1st Avenue location since 1971. 

Owner Richard Pankey tells KWWL opening day, "went great."
