Driver hurt after hitting deer

WAVERLY (KWWL) -

A driver was taken to the hospital, after she hit a deer.

Bremer County Sheriff's deputies were called to the accident on V14 north of Waverly Friday night.

Deputies say two drivers were traveling south, when three or four deer walked on the road, and both drivers hit the deer.

Ashley Ellis of Sumner was driving a Chevy Impala, and she was taken to Waverly Health Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Kari Kilcher of Fredericksburg was driving a Chevy Equinox, and she was all right.

As you can see, from photos posted by the Bremer County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, it looks like one of the bucks came through the window and broke glass.
