11th annual Pink Ribbon Run coming up this Saturday, October 7

Join KWWL's Abby Turpin for the 11th annual Pink Ribbon Run/Walk in Cedar Falls on Saturday, October 7.

Online registration has ended, but participants can register at packet pick-up on Friday, October 6 from 5 until 7 p.m., and also the morning of the race beginning at 7 a.m. at the Cedar Falls Community Center on the corner of 6th and Main Streets.

After packet pick-up on Friday evening, you're invited to head to downtown Cedar Falls for food and fun until 9 p.m.  Each participant will get a coupon card with great discounts.

Other things to note for the race (according to the Race FB page):

- Teams of 10 or more should assemble near their team signs for pictures and judging between 7:30-7:45 a.m. on Saturday morning.  KWWL's Abby Turpin is a guest judge.

- Breast Cancer Survivors will be asked to gather for a Survivor Photo at 8 a.m.

- Everyone is asked to congregate in front of the for pre-race announcements beginning at 7:50 a.m.

- Race start will be at 8th and State Streets.

- There will be a post-race program and awards.

-  Post-race food will be provided by Martin Bros. Food Market. Coffee is provided by Sidecar Coffee and Caribou Coffee.

-  Survivor tent post-race food is provided by Steege's Meat Market and Catering, and the Tea Cellar.

- After the Run/Walk, participants can enjoy a free Bloody Mary at Pump Haus and other great deals at downtown merchants.

This year, a record number of participants have registered.  The Run is presented this year by Oakridge Realtors and the University of Iowa Community Credit Union. Survivor registrations have been covered by Community Auto Group.
