Deputies in Clayton County say a man is in custody after being accused of burglarizing a home and assaulting two people inside.

33-year-old Christopher Junk, of Monona, turned himself in and is currently being held in the Clayton County Jail without bond. Deputies say he's accused of entering a home in the 19000 block of Keystone Road south of McGregor around 2:46 a.m. on September 17, and assaulting a male and female victim. The suspect had run from the scene by the time deputies arrived.

Junk is charged with First Degree Burglary, Willful Injury, Harassment, Domestic Abuse Assault and violation of a no-contact order. If he's convicted on all counts, he could face up to 37 years in prison. The Clayton County Sheriff's Office says it was assisted in the investigation by the Iowa State Patrol, Guttenberg Police Department and MarMac Police and EMS.
