CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

Voters in Cedar Falls will have a two people to choose from in the mayors race on November 7th. Incumbent Jim Brown will face off against Jim Skaine.

Skaine moved his family to Cedar Falls in 1965 and taught in the speech department at UNI until he retired in 1998.

"My campaign is an issue oriented campaign. I am not campaigning against Jim Brown who is also running. I am campaigning against decisions that the City Council has made that has made unsafe and unreliable the many services the people receive," said Skaine in an email send to KWWL.

According to Skaine's website, he is running on three main issues.

He says the mayor and city council have cut essential city services, including fire and police. He says University Avenue's roundabouts are unsafe and he says the city has illegally established a city administrator.
