UPDATE: Iowa Senator Joni Ernst has responded to the tragedy in Las Vegas through social media -- posting a tweet asking for prayers for everyone impacted by the deadly mass shooting.

UPDATE: Congressman Rod Blum, who represents Iowa's 1st Congressional District spanning much of eastern Iowa, has posted a message on the deadly Las Vegas mass shooting. In the tweet, he thanks Las Vegas police for their response to the scene.

Iowa's top elected officials are speaking out against the shooting at a country music concert in Las Vegas overnight, which is now the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history with at least 50 people now dead.

Governor Kim Reynolds, Senator Chuck Grassley, Congressman Dave Loebsack (who represents Iowa's 2nd Congressional District including Iowa City) and Congressman David Young (Iowa's 3rd Congressional District Representative) have all posted messages on social media in the aftermath of the shooting.
