A current district associate judge in southeastern Iowa is becoming a district court judge following an appointment from Governor Kim Reynolds.

Crystal Cronk was appointed earlier this month to become the district court judge in Iowa's Judicial District 8A, which includes Washington, Keokuk, Appanoose, Davis, Jefferson, Mahaska, Monroe, Poweshiek, Van Buren and Wapello counties.

Cronk currently serves as district associate judge in Judicial District 8, and will be filling a judicial seat formerly held by Judge Annette Scieszinski in taking on her new role.
