Eastern Iowa Honor Flight, rescheduled

On Tuesday, September 19, the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight was canceled due to weather.

Today, they are announcing it has been rescheduled.

The flight has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 3, 2017. 

There will be 89 Veterans on the flight to Washington, D.C. to visit a memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice. In attendance will be, one World War II Veteran, 29 Korea Veterans, and 59 Vietnam Era Veterans taking the trip. 

The Veterans will report to the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids, at 5:00 a.m. and depart around  6:30 a.m., on October 3. 

Without any delays, they will return around 10:05 p.m. the same night. They invite the community to come out and welcome home the Veterans.
