WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Tri-County Child and Family Development Council is entering a partnership with Dupaco Community Credit Union and its foundation that will put state-of-the art tablets into three Head Starts classrooms that serve four and five-year-olds.

"We are excited to support the education process at this stage of the children's development," said Dupaco R. W. Hoefer Foundation Board Member Bob Hoefer. "This is a mission-critical endeavor of the foundation, investing in the future of the Cedar Valley and the state."

“This is an example of substantive and impactful collaboration for community enrichment,” said Joe Hearn, president and CEO of Dupaco Community Credit Union. “It clearly aligns with Dupaco’s mission of personal and economic empowerment.”

“We at Tri-County Head Start know we are the beginning of these Iowa children’s formal educational process,” said John Berry, Executive Director and CEO of Tri-County Child and Family Development Council. “I know that given the multi-complex challenges that these four- and five-year-olds will face we are engaged in their leadership success.”

The Dupaco High-Tech Learning Center event will take place Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Tri-County, 205 Adams St., Waterloo.
