CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

In class 4A, District five, Cedar Falls played host to Mason City at the UNI-Dome.  #6 Cedar Falls bounced back from its first loss of the season, an overtime loss to #2 Iowa City West.  The Tigers beat previously undefeated Western Dubuque 38-18 last week.

Senior quarterback Luke Gillett was leading the charge for the Tigers tonight, and he started strong.  Gillett on the play action, rolled out and hit Blake Christensen, who cut back inside and was gone for the 87-yard-touchdown.

The Tiger student section was rowdy, even breaking one of the signs hanging from the railing.

Gillett again rolled out and hit Logan Wolf for a sliding grab in the endzone to get Cedar Falls rolling.

Then it was the defense, on fourth down, Mason City quarterback Danny Kamm III threw a pick-6 to break it open.

Then, it was Gillett again, this time he hit Dalton Closson in the corner of the endzone to make it 28-0.

Next time out, he would hand it off to Sam Gary, and Gary did the rest, bursting downfield and in for the score.

Tigers roared past Mason City -- 52-0.
