The Black Hawk County Solid Waste Commission is sponsoring a Toxic Materials and Electronics Recycling Drop-off Saturday, September 23 for Black Hawk County residents.

From 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., you can drop off your household toxic materials and electronics at the Cedar Falls Public Works Complex, located at 2200 Technology Parkway in Cedar Falls.

This drop-off event has proved a success in the past.  During an event last spring in Waterloo, volunteers unloaded 36.5 tons of electronics from 878 vehicles during the 5-hour event, with the Black Hawk County Solid Waste Management Commission spending over $28,000 for the proper handling of the materials collected.

More details and the list of accepted items can be found here.
