2 arrested in Cedar Falls, accused of harboring runaway child

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

Two people are arrested, accused of keeping a runaway child.  Cedar Falls Police were called to the Target parking lot for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Officers found three people, including a girl who ran away from her home in Buchanan County.  The two others, 18-year-old Zachary Brehme and 19-year-old Tya Straw, were arrested.

Police say the car was stolen and there were drugs inside.  The girl was later released to a parent.

Brehme and Straw face charges of Harboring a Runaway Child and drug charges.  Brehme is also facing Second Degree Theft.
