Tripoli blows out Kee High 50-6

Tripoli entered the state rankings this week at number nine....the Panthers opened district play with a 68-8 victory over Central City. Their opponent, Kee High, won its first game of the season beating Central City 24 to six in its district opener.

The game started with a very special ceremony. It was "Go Gold" night in Tripoli to help raise awareness for pediatric cancer. three of their own are coping with the disease are honoring captains for the game. Nora Schellhorn lost her brother, Grant, to cancer, Maddie Schellhorn and Logan Liddle are currently fighting the disease. They received autographed game balls from players.

The quiet from the ceremony did not last long. In fact, Tripoli Panther's Marquise Paino on the fourth play of the game found a huge hole right up the middle and he would go untouched 48-yards to the zone. The touchdown made it six zero after the two point conversion failed.

Five plays later Kee High Quarterback, Tucker Colsch, turned it over while being wrapped up his pass was deflected for an interception giving the Panthers excellet field position.

Tropoli took the next play to do more damage, going deep, 24-yards to the house finding number three Zach Johnson for the touchdown grab. The two point conversion made it 14-zero Panthers.

With only a minute to go in the first quarter Marquise Paino would get the hand off and run around the right side of his line finding another seam this time going 47-yards for the touchdown.

At the end of the first quarter it was all Tripoli leading 20-0, halftime the Panthers increased their lead 36-6 and by the end of this one Tripoli would put 50 on the board. Final score 50 to 6 Panthers.
