Oakland, Iowa (KWWL) -

"Learning the Muslim Brotherhood's secret strategies for America."  That was the focus of a meeting in Oakland, Iowa last night.

The Global Faith Institute organized the event, which featured a former FBI agent, John Guandolo.

"They're looking to make the Muslim religion more acceptable to regular Americans. That's whey they move in, they run Muslim candidates. There's going to be Muslim presidential candidates. What's going to happen then," said Pottawattamie County Republican Chair Jeff Jorgensen.

Some people showed up last night to protest the event.

"They're trying to get people to be afraid instead of helping to heal this nation. They're further dividing us and they're doing it with lies," said Miriam Amer, executive director of Iowa's CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) chapter.
